Dear Rodd and family: We were so sad to hear of Corola's passing. She was such an out-going and out-giving person who was an immediate friend to anyone she met. Her volunteering generosity to donate and share her wonderful baking talent will never be forgotten in our area churches and support efforts. Her kind and engaging personality was such a pleasure to be around. We pray that wonderful memories with her will help you through this difficult time.

Roddie, Stuart ,Paula, Sadie and Carola's many other family and friends,
I was heartbroken to hear of Carola's passing. I can't imagine a world without her tight hugs and joyful exuberance.
No matter when I saw her, she was so full of fun and a generosity of spirit, that the experience always lifted me and my face usually ached from smiling. And as anyone who has had the pleasure of eating her glorious cooking can attest, a meal prepared by Carola was one like no other.
I will never go to Cape Breton without remembering my visits with her there, the place she loved so much.
My deepest sympathies to you all.
Much love,
Heather Craig

Dear family of Corola, I didn't know your wife/mother/sibling, but I always mourn the passing of a true Cape Bretoner. I have roots in St.Stephen, but, like your Carola, was born and raised on the Cape. The woman you describle was a Caper, through and through. May all the good memories hold you up and comfort you throughout this difficult time.

Sincere condolences sent your way Roddie and family. Carola was a great lady and indeed a hard worker especially in whatever kitchen she made a meal. Anne recalls getting a call from her asking if she could come to check on some problem one of the kids was having. As Public health Nurse and knowing Carola so well, she agreed to meet with her soon that afternoon. When the child was looked after they sat down had a great chat and of course a cup of tea. It was Dec. 23rd and when Anne was about to leave Carola come out with a bag filled with biscuits, oat cakes , molasses biscuits and an apple pie. She said, I know you are busy so this is just a little something for you and your Mom over Christmas. Anne never forgot the kind gesture made that day .
Thoughts are with you all at this time.

To Carola MacDonald's Family
Although we did not have a lot of occasions to spend in each others company, we certainly enjoyed the times we did, and have great memories. Carola was certainly a genuine person to us, a relationship that we will respect and cherish as we continue our lives. To all who are missing Carola, our deepest sympathies are extended to you at this time. May you take one good thought of her, of which we realize you would have many to choose from, when you feel the loss is getting hard to bear. With that I am sure Carol would say THANK YOU, YES you also were a part of my life.

Thinking of you all at this sad time. Carola was one of the kindest people I have ever met. So many times she called to say ''Don't be on your own, come and have supper with Roddie and me'' and I would enjoy her wonderful food but even more the great company. I think Roddie would sometimes despair when they came to our house and Carola and Martyn would bring out the party animal in each other, especially after a drink or five! I will miss this lovely lady so much and our hearts and our door will always be open to Roddie x

Dear Rod and Family - Harvey and I were shocked to hear of Carol's passing. The last we spoke on the phone, I asked how she was feeling and you said, good as she had cooked up a storm that day. Cooking and baking was her passion, which she did so well. Carola made the best oat cakes on this planet, which I can vouch for.
Sending our most sincere condolences to you Rod, and all your family. Love and Blessings.

We send our condolences upon learning the sad news of Carola's passing. She was a wonderful person, we remember fondly of our many fun times at your house parties. Carola made the most delicious meals and was always fun to be with, the perfect hostess, wonderful memories for us both. When we have Chinese food, Scott often comments the best he ever had was Carola's Chinese food she prepared.
Once again sending our sincere condolences to the entire family.
