Dear Claudia, Chris and families,
So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. From his wonderful obituary he adored family and friends, and was adored. He had a rich life with many rewards. I didn't know him after he left GM, thanks for telling his story.
May your memories and faith help navigate the difficult days ahead.
Prayers [and hugs]

Gary and I graduated the same year from Grand Manan High and his mother and I were first cousins. It was good to connect with him a few years ago and share memories. Deepest condolences.

I remember as a young lad living in Seal Cove walking across the hill living next to the school nearly every week to what was then the head of King Street. It was a magical place there for me as my Grand parents lived there and my uncles and my cousins. There is where the excitement was and what I had thought was a giant lived . That giant was Gary and I was in awe of him and his talent for singing and I looked up to him in more ways than one. I was blessed with his friendship and joy for life in later years and I will miss my friendly giant but I will carry his memory forever.

A great obituary for Cousin Gary. As an older cousin, we enjoyed his visits home and tales of life in all of Canada, the Air Force and modern music.
I first learned of Roy Orbison, as Cousin Gary sang his songs for us with his acoustic guitar. “Pretty Woman” will always be Gary to me whenever I hear that.
Condolences to Cousins Chris and Claudia in particular
Gerald and Diane
