So very sorry for the loss of a dear woman. I had the pleasure of getting to know Pauline through Mrs Elsie Carter and I remember Pauline always so very kind and caring to her up until she had passed. Sorry to have been away during the visitation. RIP Pauline you certainly deserve it. You will always be remembered very fondly.❤️

It is with great sadness that my sister Jane, my wife Kim and I learned of the passing of Mrs. Carter, and our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers go out to Brent, Susan and all the Carter and Baird families. So many fond memories of her kindness and gentle nature. Always smiling and welcoming. I recall the delicious round bread she baked, seemingly every week, and her cookies were divine! She was always genuinely interested in all of us kids in the neighbourhood, and happily withstood the onslaught of youth that intruded into her home almost 7 days a week. We took apart and put together motorcycles, ski-doos, cars and all manner of motorized means of conveyance. In later years, I'd consider myself fortunate to see Mrs. Carter in her garden and have a lovely long chats during which she asked all about what I was up to and where I was living and she seemed to enjoy my humourous spins on my adventures. My sister has always thought of her as part of the Charles Street family and enjoyed every moment with her as she seemed to understand and relate in so many ways with Jane. Once again, our sincere condolences go out to Susan and her husband, Brent and the families. Your mom, aunt, sister and a wonderful person will be missed by so many. May you all find joy in the fond memories of her in your lives. Sincerely, Jeffrey, Kim and Jane Irwin

My sympathies to Brent and Susan. Pauline was cousin to Mom and always visited Gaspé every summer for so many years. I remember her poise and grace, always so polite and I loved her hair in a bun! She and Dot were always funny together. Pauline gave me a beautiful wool blanket from St. Andrew’s for our wedding. RIP Pauline.

Aunt Paulie would always bring us back unique gifts from their exotic adventures. The best one was an animal necklace from Africa. She was always so thoughtful, others came first. She talked with such a calm tone yet with passion and poise! Already miss you.

So sorry to hear of the passing of my dear Aunt Pauline. While it has been many years, she is deeply ingrained in my boyhood memories of family visits to Gaspe, and her visits with Wilfred to see us in Ontario. I also remember well her lovely home in St. Andrews, including a few visits by my wife Susan and I while touring the East Coast. I think of Pauline with great fondness and affection, for she and Wilfred always treated me with kindness and good cheer. She had a tremendous grace about her, and a great spirit and liveliness underlying the reserve. Her passing marks the end of a generation of the Baird/Roberts family. Rest in peace Pauline, in spiritual reunion with Wilfred. Sincere condolences to Brent, Susan and all kin.
