Dear Ruth, I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Williams. I just couldn’t get used to calling him Ralph, no matter how many times he told me it was ok. A good story teller with a hearty laugh is how I shall remember him. Take care, Diane Jones Comeau

My first memory of Ralph was him running out of his classroom, waving a script and calling out, you direct this one and I’ll do the other one! And so began my many years of Middle and High School Drama, assisting Ralph. So many plays with the St. Croix Theatre Co. Fo me, Ralph and Theatre are synonymous. I’m so sorry for your loss, Ruth. He will be missed.

Ruth and Family: I knew Ralph through our many years of badge trading and our direct meetings at Badgers Club events and Scout Jamborees. My wife and I fondly remember our road trip through New Brunswick a few years back when I decided to drop in unexpectantly at your home. We were received with grace and and many great Scout and Badger tales. It will remain with us for a long time. I will certainly miss Ralph's humour, friendship and knowledge about badges. Our condolences to his family on your loss.

I will remember Ralph as a smart, witty, talented, long time friend and colleague who enriched the lives of several generations in the community. For Lynda, Ralph was one who greeted her with a warm smile and welcome to St. Stephen. Over the years, they too became friends. Working together on theatre productions, NBSRT , and community events barely scratch the surface of our collective memories. Our sincere condolences to you Ruth, Ray and members of the family. - Herb

Ruth and Family, Please accept my condolences for the loss of Ralph in your lives. His dedication to his family, friends and community were second to none! I think the most significant thing that comes to mind when mentioning Ralph is that Ruth was always beside him. He had one of those belly laughs that could be heard and appreciated and that cheered up any room. Although his service here on earth has finished, he will continue to be your angel I am sure. In Sympathy. Gail

Ralph was one of the great minds that I have encountered on my journey, a good man, a good friend who lived a good life. My fondest memory was one year a group of grade six boys wanted to play soccer and had no coach. Ralph stepped up and did a wonderful job with those kids. My son said it was the most fun that he had in sports. As a town councilman I truly appreciate all of his effort on council for years. Condolences to Ruth and Raymond.

I will miss the great conversations and I know that the positive impact he had on so many in not only the classroom but throughout all of his endeavours will be felt for years to come. To Ruth and the Williams family, my deepest condolences. Ralph was was a great person, a great community leader and especially a great educator. He was the first teacher who made a effort to help me overcome self-confidence issues, and I have never forgot that. Once, thought petrified of doing so, he helped me through a class presentation. At the end he said "wonderful job Darren...you did so well you even went over your time limit by one minute", then chuckled the way he always did. I will miss him, and I am so very sorry.

I was involved with Ralph as a Scout Leader back in the 70s and 80s. One of his greatest prides was the badge collection he had from many, many camporees and jamborees that he had attended. Ralph always seemed to be willing to trade a badge with a young person and get that young scout going on their own badge collection. I wouldn't be surprised that Ralph and Lord Baden Powell are right now sitting around a campfire having a good old chat.
