Sending you condolences. I have many happy memories of Dale when ge stayed with us in Grand Falls, his first posting with the RCMP and boarded with my family. HIs Mom also came for visits. He was fun loving and like another brother for me, being only 10 at the time. It was nice for my sister, niece and myself to see him in recent years after about 50+yrs.
Hoping you will be blessed with wonderful memories and comforted by God's presence and peace.

Dixie and all the family: Thank you for generously sharing Dale with so many of us in the community for so many years. My Bompa, Bill Clarke, had a great deal of respect for Dale and it is wonderful to recall the banter, the friendly chiding, and the hearty laughter that carried on the wind when they met, exchanged news, and watched the tide come over the Bar; often never even stepping out of their cars. Time stopped because they both had the gift of living fully in the moment. Thoughts and prayers to each of you.

When I arrived in Grand Falls, Newfoundland in January 1974 as a rookie Mountie, I lived in a boarding home run by Mrs. Gertie Noel. Dale had been her first Mountie boarder and she never stopped talking about him. His portrait was on her mantle. She loved everything about Dale, particularly his sense of humour. Many other Mounties lived with her on Haig Road after Dale, but none could match him in her eyes. Wishing the family all the very best at this difficult time. pete

What a loss! I had the honour to know Dale as a friend and a colleague. We were stationed together at the Canadian Police College in "N" Division in the 1970s. He was always "Mr. Enthusiasm" and a great guy to work with for sure. He retired to St. Andrews and was gung ho to get his clothing store business underway. Coincidentally, I later was to buy a tuxedo from his place when I got married in St. Andrews in 1993. I'm sure his passing will be a significant loss for the community. Sincere condolences to Dixie and family.

My condolences to Dixie and the family. I first met Dale and Dixie shortly after taking Command of ´J’ Division. He was a proud Veteran and offered his friendship and historical operational advice. Jean and I always took the opportunity to stop in at his St. Andrew’s shop where he offered a welcome coffee and friendly chat. As National President, he strongly supported the development of the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood Ottawa. A project that I was involved in and his support was critical to the success ot the project. A gentleman’s gentleman. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Dixie, Jennifer, Jeff and Andrew, I’m sending you my condolences and a virtual hug. It was a privilege to work at the LivLea Shop as a teenager in the early 1990’s. I learned so much from Dale. The one thing he used to remind me every day was to take time to smell the roses. It stuck with me so much I planted roses at my home. I was lucky to have him as my first employer. He will be missed by so many in the St. Andrews community. Hugs to all of you in this challenging time! Dawn (Jones) Maskill

Dear Dixie and family,
Meeting you and Dale in Barbados was one of the luckiest and best things to happen to me!
Dale was certainly a hero in so many ways...
Such a loving, wonderful man, a father figure to me. He "walked the walk" consistently and humbly and it shows so clearly in your beautiful, loving family and assembly of so many admiring friends.
As others have said, Dale will be missed but never forgotten. He set the bar high and has given us all an example of what living a solid life as a husband, father and friend looks like.
Blessings to you all. love, Dotsie Parker and John Jodoin
