Obituary of Alice Elaine Ross

The death of A. Elaine Ross of St. Andrews, occurred at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Saint John on November 21, 2004. Born in Westport, Briar Island Nova Scotia, April 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Anna (Peters), Denton. Survived by two daughters, Ann Ross (David Wilson) of Fredericton NB; Mary Ross (Ryan Le Blanc) of St. Andrews NB; three sons, Alex (Kaja Caspersen) Ross of Burlington Ont; Don (Sylvie) Ross of Bedford NS; Richard Ross of Banff Alta; two sisters, Marion (Reigh) Buston of Halifax NS; Jeanette Denton of Westport NS; brother, H. Victor (Frances) Denton of Pearland Texas; four grandchildren, Mary and Rob Wilson, Andrew and Eric Ross; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband J. Richard Ross. Elaine was a graduate of Westport high school and St. John Vocational school. She was a long serving member of the Greenock Women's Guild, volunteer with the Girl Guides of Canada, member of Heather curling club and an avid gardener. No visitation by request of the family. A Memorial service will be held 2pm on Thursday November 25, from Greenock Presbyterian Church, St. Andrews, with Rev. Cheryl MacFadyen officiating. Reception to be held at the Greenock church hall. Interment will take place in the St. Andrew's rural Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to, The Arthritis Society or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
