Obituary of Hazel Clinch
The death of Hazel Clinch of St. Stephen, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 28, 2004. Born in Irishtown, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (MacLean) Hannington. Predeceased by, husband, Donald Weston Clinch; sister Marjorie Stiles; grandson, Craig Robert Clinch. Survived by son, Robert Clinch of St. Stephen; four grandchildren, John, Leslie, Tammy, and Ralph; several great-grandchildren. Hazel was a graduate from Moncton high school, the provincial normal school, and the university of Moncton. Hazel taught for over 35 years in various schools in New Brunswick. Most of her teaching career was in St. Stephen were she retired in 1982. After retirement, Hazel did supply teach and volunteer work. She enjoyed family, friends, neighbors, and playing bridge. Hazel was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Charlotte County and New Brunswick retired teachers association, St. Croix Valley Senior Citizens. Resting at MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, with visiting on Wednesday June 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral will be held 11am on Thursday from Christ Anglican Church, Prince William St., St. Stephen, with Rev. Peter Mills officiating. A private family interment will take place in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Family flowers only, by Request, donations to the Christ Anglican Church, Canadian Diabetes Foundation, NB Heart & Stroke, or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
