Obituary of Helen Wilhelmina Boyden
BOYDEN,HELEN W. - at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, October 7th, 2011, Helen Wilhelmina Boyden of Welshpool, New Brunswick. Born in Eastport, Maine, USA, she is the daughter of the late Ira Delpha and Wilhelmina Elizabeth (Golding) Boyden. Helen was a graduate of Eastport High School Class of 1936. She taught Elementary in Grade 3 in schools in Quincy, Mass., Eastport and Southern Maine, retiring in her early sixties. During her teaching years Helen received her Master’s of Science in Education from Boston University. She has resided in Campobello over the past 25 years with her sister Alice, supporting St. Anne's Anglican Church. Helen is survived by her sister Alice Gough of Welshpool, NB, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary & Ruth, her step sister Ruth McCarthy(Lank) and her step brothers Harold and Frederick McCarthy. The funeral service will beheld at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, Welshpool, Campobello, on Monday, October 10th, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 12:30 until time of service. The interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery with a reception to follow at the home of Helen's sister, Alice. Donations to St. Anne's Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com.
