Obituary of Mabel Charlotte Patterson
Mabel Charlotte Patterson, 95 (Nov 15, 1915), of Isleworth, Middlesex England, passed away peacefully July 22. She is survived by her beloved sister Joan Carson (William deceased) of St. Andrews New Brunswick. Mabel was the daughter of the late John and Mabel Patterson. She is survived by nephews: John (Nancy), Robert (Pauline) Carl (Shauna) and great nieces and nephew: Stephanie, Alana, Ashley, Dawn and Craig Carson. She is also survived by her Aunt Mary, several cousins, and her dear friends in England. Mabel returned to England, from New Brunswick, in her late teens. There she studied and worked a lengthy career as a SRN, (State Registered Nurse) and SCM, (State Certified Midwife). She settled in Isleworth, Middlesex and remained in her home until shortly before her passing at which time she was hospitalized due to fall and complications from surgery. Mabel was fondly known in England as “Pat”, a nick name from her nursing days, short for Patterson. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Funeral services were held, August 8 at 2pm at Hanworth Crematorium, (S W Middlesex), in England. As per Mabel’s request, her ashes will be buried with her parents at St. Andrews Cemetery in NB Canada. There will be a private grave side interment service, at a later date, officiated by Canon John Matheson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Humphreys’ Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St Stephen, NB (506 - 466 – 3110).
