Obituary of Thelma Irene Chute

CHUTE THELMA I. – At the Charlotte County Hospital on Friday December 24th, 2010; Thelma Irene(Hooper)Chute of Campobello,NB. Born in Calais, Maine, USA on May 6th, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Irene & Vernon Hooper. Thelma was married to Marsden Chute for 50 years before his passing. She grew up in Lubec before she married at the age of 16 and lived the rest of her life in Campobello. She is survived by her children Linda Wallace and husband John, Milton Chute and companion Linda Ferguson all of Lubec, Maine, Madelyn Miller and husband Carleton of Edgewater Florida and Susan Olson and husband Mark of Robbinston, Maine. She loved all her grandchildren immensely. They are Robbie Wallace deceased, Jonathan Wallace, Lisa Fitzgerald, Tammy Bruna, Scott Farmer, Steven Olson, and Amanda Olson, also her great grandchildren, Dari McConnell, Ashley Ferris, Mason & Molly Farmer, Emma & Christian Bruno, Emma Fitzgerald, Caden and Jonas Olson and Brylee McConnell,Robert Wallace. She was predeceased by sisters Madeline Kelly, half sister Ivy West, and half brother Rod Hooper. She had many friends whom she loved. She had a special neighbour who helped her out a lot, Marie Matthews. She loved the Lord and has been waiting for many years for Him to take her to heaven. She loved her church North Road Baptist Church, where she was saved many years ago. She was a most generous and caring person who loved to give people gifts and would give away her last cent even if she needed it herself and did so numerous times. In her younger years she worked in the sardine factory but her main job was a housewife and mother. In light of the storm pending for the Charlotte & Washington Counties over the next 48 hours the family have requested a potponement of this service until Tuesday December 28th, 2010. Resting at North Road Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm Canadian time 6:00 pm US time. A receptiion will immediately follow in the church hall. A private family interment will take place later in the North Road Cemetery. Visitation at the church will be held on Tuesday evening from 6pm Cdn until service time at 7:00 pm Cdn.
