Obituary of Vernon Dale Parker
PARKER, VERNON D. Unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday June 6th, 2010; Vernon Dale Parker , husband of Mildred Bernice (Shaw) Parker of Campobello, NB. Born in Wilson’s Beach, NB he is the son of the late Romaine James & Eunice Mary (Thurber) Parker. Vernon was employed for almost 25 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Upon retirement he worked in the fishing industry of Campobello. He was a longtime dedicated member of North Road Baptist Church serving as a Deacon. Surviving in addition to his wife Mildred are his children Colin of Campobello, Theresa Smet of Machias Maine, Alana Legendre of Geary, NB, and Vania Anthony of Wilsons Beach, NB, sister Jessie Brown(Billy), brother James Parker(Juanita), all of Wilson’s Beach, brother Ermine (Glenna) of North Road, NB and brother Medford (Donna) of St Stephen, NB, 10 grandchildren, Allison, Steven and Eric Parker, Roger Lee and Alisha Wright, Selena Davidson, Shayne and Kaleb Mathews, Kendra and Kaleb Anthony, 8 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Vernon was predeceased by his parents and a brother Mayford. Resting at North Road Baptist Church Welshpool, Campobello, NB from where the family will receive visitors on Wednesday evening only from 6 … 9 pm A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 10th, 2010 at 2:00 pm at North Road Baptist Church followed by the interment in Head Harbour Cemetery Wilson’s Beach, NB. A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations to the North Road Baptist Church or any Campobello Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
