Obituary of Mary Claire Scott
Scott, Claire - Unexpectedly in St Stephen, Mary Claire (Dempsey) Scott of 21 Queen St St Stephen. Wife of Sheldon Scott. Born in Toronto she is the daughter of the late Joseph Lyle and Beatrice (Furlotte) Dempsey. Claire was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion St Croix Branch # 9 Ladies Auxillary and a member of Holy Rosary Church. Claire will be lovingly remembered by her many friends and family. Surviving in addition to her husband Sheldon are her 2 sons James Keith Doyle (Sue Dawn)of St George, Joseph Kenneth Lyle Doyle ( Melissa Amber), of Edmonton Alberta, sister Ann Myers (Rick), and brother Michael Dempsey all of Kingston Ont, 5 grandchildren, Whitney Marie Davidson, Olivia Grace Davidson, Destiny Claira Doyle, Keisha Sue Doyle,Elizabeth Katrina Doyle,2 nieces,Laura and Mary Ellen and nephew Julian. She was predeceased by her sister Vivian. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday December 9th, 2009 at 10 00 am at Holy Rosary Church.Rev. Fr. John Keoughan celebrated the mass. Scriptures were read by Pastor Darren Millett. The church choir provided special music accompanied by their church organist Mary Lou Graham. Special tributes were given by Claire's sister Ann and daughters in law Sue Doyle and Melissa Doyle. A special tribute service was also held at the church conducted by members of the RCL Ladies Auxillary. Members of the Ladies Auxillary and the Holy Rosary CWL formed an Honour Guard. A reception followed in the church hall put on by members of the CWl and the RCL St. Croix Branch #9 Ladies Auxillary. In lieu of flowers donations to the RCL St Croix Branch # 9 Ladies Auxillary would be appreciated by the family.
