Obituary of Paul Martin Cline
CLINE PAUL M. … Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital on Friday, November 6th, 2009; Paul Martin Cline, husband of Glenna (Matthews) Cline of Welshpool, NB. Born in Campobello, NB he is the son of the late Douglas & Emily (Stuart) Cline. As a young man Paul attended Vocational School in Saint John. Upon completion of his schooling he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Completing his service with the Air Force he returned to Campobello to begin his work in the fishing industry in 1959. He owned his own boats into his late 40’s and then went on to work with the Herring Cove Provincial Park as their Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement. He also worked for Seefish as a Weigh Master. Paul was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Welshpool serving as a Warden. Paul was a founding director of Campobello Lodge,a member of the Royal Canadian Legion serving several terms as President, a member of the PC Party, a Past Master of the Washington Lodge # 37 Lubec AF & AM , and a member of Sunset Lodge Campobello, a volunteer with the St. John Ambulance when it first began in Campobello. Surviving in addition to his wife Glenna are his daughter Cathy Gibbs (J.M.) of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. son Vernon M. of Campobello, 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Steven & Channing Cline and Taylor Gibbs. He was predeceased by his brother Bud. By Paul’s request there will be no visitation however friends are welcome to attend a memorial service in celebration of his life to be held at St. Anne’s Anglican Church Welshpool, NB at 2:00 pm on Saturday November 28th, 2009. The interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Anne’s Anglican Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
