NORTH MELBOURNE J. … At his residence, in Campobello, NB on Friday October 23rd, 2009; Melbourne John North, husband of Elsa (Aagot) North of Campobello, NB; formerly of Back Rd. Born in Campobello he is the son of the late Edward & Lalia (Greenlaw) North. A veteran of World War 2 he served as a Sergeant in the American Armed Forces enlisting in 1941 and was discharged in 1945. Melbourne was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Welshpool, NB and also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Campobello Branch. Melbourne worked with the State of Maine for a number of years with the Department of Mental Health. Surviving in addition to his wife Elsa are his 2 sons Paul (Vicki) of Seattle Washington, Peter of Cape Cod Massachusetts, brother Charles (Barbara) of Coplait Pennsylvania, U.S.A., grandchildren,nieces, nephews and cousins. Melbourne was predeceased by his sisters Anne, Frances and Catherine. By His request there will be no visitation. A memorial service in celebration of Melbourne's life will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Welshpool Campobello,NB on Thursday November 5th, 2009 at 1:00 pm. The interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Anne’s Church Memorial Fund, The Residents Council Fund of Campobello Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.
