Obituary of Borden Joseph Denley

Suddenly, at Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 96. Beloved husband of Sylvia. Cherished father of Randall (Louise Forgues-Savage), Jamine (Robert MacNeil) and Wendy (Isabelle Roy), adored stepfather of Beth (Bob Swift-Hill) and Carolann (Scott Letts). Fondly remembered by his former wife, Cedella. Much loved grandfather of Eric (Desarmia), Katherine, Laura and Thomas Denley, Halley, Rheanna and Marisa Swift-Hill, Daniel and Claire Letts. Great grandfather of Leia Denley. Born in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, New Brunswick, he was predeceased by his parents, Everett and Flora Denley, brother Floyd and sister Mona. A gifted athlete, coach, chef, musician, army major, government manager, business owner, committed volunteer, avid bridge player, wonderful gardener, and blessed with a life-long wit. He will be forever missed by his family and all who knew him. Resting at Humphreys’ Funeral Home 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, (506 – 466 – 3110) Funeral service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 77 King Street , St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, New Brunswick on Friday, August 7th, 2009 at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow in St. Andrews Rural Cemetery.
