Obituary of Raymond Williams
WILLIAMS, RAYMOND … Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009; Raymond Williams, husband of Carole Ann Williams of Oak Hill, NB. Born in Swampscott, Massachusetts, U.S.A. he is the son of the late Raymond & Ruth (Wentzell) Williams. As a young man Raymond enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces for a short period of time before moving to the US with his parents. He then joined the US Marine Corps and served in the Korean Conflict. Surviving in addition to his wife Carole are his daughters Jane and Wendy Williams; both of Fort Collins, Colorado; 1 step son Douglas Wheeler of St. Stephen, NB, 1 sister Nancy Williams of Bisbey, Arizona. He was predeceased by a daughter Cathy Williams and a step son Rick Allen Wheeler. By Raymond’s request there will be no visitation at the funeral home, however friends are welcomed to attend a celebration of his life on Wednesday, May 6th, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB (506 … 466 … 3110). A reception will immediately follow in the Humphreys Community Room & Reception Centre. The interment will take place at a later date in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery Rossway, Digby Co, NS.
