Obituary of Geraldine M. Brewer

The death of Geraldine M. Brewer of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and formerly of Bathurst, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, on January 31, 2004. Born in St. Stephen, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Jennie (MacNaughton) Bateman. She had taught for many years in several schools in the Bathurst area. Survived by her husband, LeRoy Brewer; daughters, Brenda and her husband John Boudreau of Bathurst and Karen and her husband Andrew Barnshaw of Bermuda; son, Wayne and his wife Caroline Brewer of Fredericton; sisters, Jackie Bateman and Evelyn Sellars both of St. Stephen; grandchildren, Marc, Michel, Lisa, Jeffrey and Chantel; step-grandchildren, Scott and Christopher; several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at 11 Elizabeth Street, St. Stephen, New Brunswick. A private family service will be held 2 pm Tuesday with Rev. Joanne Barr officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
