Obituary of Ivan J. Firlotte
FIRLOTTE IVAN J. - Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital on Thursday, February 9th, 2017; Ivan Joseph Firlotte, husband of Wendy ( McCullough) Firlotte of Bocabec, NB. Born in Jacquet River, NB; he is the son of the late Charles & Amelia (Levesque) Firlotte. Ivan worked for over 35 years with Scotiabank. He and Wendy moved to Campobello in their early years where he managed the local branch. While a resident of the island he was a member of St. Timothys Church for approxiamately 20 years. He dedicated his life in helping others which is why he served as an EMT with St. John Ambulance for many years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club. He & Wendy later moved to Bocabec. Those who know Ivan knew of his great love of the outdoors through fishing, hunting and most especially camping with his family in Oak Bay. Surviving in addition to his wife Wendy are his daughters Iva Lee Mallock of Campobello, Gail Sinclair (Leonard) of Bocabec, and Heather Firlotte (Camille Moore) of St. Martins, NB, 3 brothers Allen Ferlotte (Sonja) of Sudbury, ON, Norbert Firlotte (Jackie) of Fredericton,NB, and Garry Firlotte (Oscar) of Niagara Falls, ON, his faithfull companion “Pudge”, 4 grandchildren, Krysten Mitchell, Richard Mitchell, Karigan Mallock, and Brianna Sinclair, several nieces , nephews and cousins. Ivan was predeceased by his 2 brothers Patrick Furlotte and Eugene Firlotte. By Ivans’ request cremation has taken place. Friends are welcomed to attend a graveside service that will take place at the Bocabec Cemetery, on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the community hall directly next door. In lieu of flowers donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
