Obituary of Elizabeth Merchant Holcomb

Merchant Holcomb, Elizabeth - At the Old Ridge Seniors Complex on Saturday, March 8th, 2008.Born in Chamcook, NB she was the daughter of the late Hazen Walter & Marjorie Alice (Libby) Merchant. Elizabeth worked a number of years in the restaurant and hotel industry with such places as the Holiday Inn and the Riviera Restaurant in Saint John, NB. She had also lived for several years in Toronto before coming back to the Maritimes. In her earlier years she worked in the Halifax area. Elizabeth is survived by one brother Elden Merchant (Sylvia) of Bocabec, NB, three sisters Gertrude Stoddard (Lewis), Della Upham (Myron),all of Old Ridge, NB and Victoria VanDriest (Hendricus) of Fredericton, NB, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Raymond. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB from where the service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Humphreys Community Room and Reception Centre. Visitation at the funeral home will be on Monday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
