Obituary of Eric Leroy Nesbitt
The death of Eric Leroy Nesbitt of St. Stephen, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on July 16, 2006. Born at the Chipman Memorial Hospital, St. Stephen, New Brunswick on October 11,1934, he was the son of the late Chester and Thelma (Cumberland) Nesbitt. Eric worked for NB Tel for 32 years. He was a member of Sussex, Lodge #7 also Royal Arch, Chapter #6. He was an avid amateur Radio operator with call of VE9ABL and VE1ABL. He had his Private Pilots License and was part owner of a Tripacer. Predeceased by one brother John Chester (Mary) Nesbitt; Survived by his wife, Bette (Holliday) Nesbitt; sister, Joyce (Daniel) Howard, Nevada; nieces Debra (Ken) Rumble, California, Nancy ( Michael) Sciroco,Connecticut, Ruth (Eric) Lounder, Maine; nephews, Raymond Nesbitt, Texas, John Mark (Emily) Nesbitt, Maine; several great nieces and nephews and one great great niece. Also survived by special sisters in law, Dolly (Robert) McGlinchey, Gerri (Reg) Robicheau. Resting at MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, with visiting on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. The funeral will be held 1pm on Thursday from MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Anderson officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to Charlotte County Cancer Society or St. Stephen Rural Cemetery would be appreciated.
