Obituary of Cecil Douglas McCRUM
The death of Cecil Douglas McCrum, occurred at the Passamaquoddy Lodge Nursing Home, St. Andrews on May 14, 2006. Born in Clarence Ridge, New Brunswick, on November 7, 1918, he was the son of the late Alford and Ada (Hall) McCrum and he later lived at Rollingdam. Predeceased by his son William (Bill) McCrum; sisters, Maxine Nixon, Edith McCrum, Evelyn Steen; brother, Jiggs (Russel) McCrum. Doug was a mechanic and a welder. For many years he was a camp cook and hunting guide where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He leaves to mourn daughter-in-law, Edith McCrum; brother, Keith (Eva) McCrum; sisters, Gretta (Russel) Brittain, Doris (Chester) Whitter, Beulah Gillis; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral will be held 2 pm on Thursday from the MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kay Clowater officiating. Interment will take place in the Rollingdam Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
