Obituary of Ann Marie Speedy
The death of Ann Marie Speedy of St. Stephen, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital after a long struggle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy on April 6, 2006. Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of Sallee (Talbot) McShane and the late Paul McShane. She is survived by her husband, Roy (Butch) Speedy of 32 years; two sons, Bradley (Cindy) Speedy and Jason Speedy both of St. Stephen; mother, Sallee McShane of Calais, Me.; maternal grandmother, Margaret Talbot of Rockland, Me.; sister, Paula McShane (Carl Bailey) of Calais, Me; brother, Robert McShane of Calais, Me.; very special friend, Joan Tubbs; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held 2 pm on Tuesday from the Kirk McColl United Church, with Rev. Dr. Mark Hatfield officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Muscular Dystrophy, or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
