Obituary of Burton Wilfred Libby
The death of Burton (Burt) Wilfred Libby of St. Stephen, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on March 1, 2006. Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Henry and Hannah (Price) Libby. Veteran of WWII having served with the 105th anti-tank unit; life member of Victoria Lodge No. 26 F&AM; life member of International Lodge No. 61 Knights of Pythias. Predeceased by his wife, Vivian (Sellars) Libby; brothers, Donald and Gilbert Libby. Survived by sister, Clara Libby, St. Stephen; sister-in-law, Evelyn Sellars; nieces, Donna (Keith) Hunter, Joanne (Gerry) McFarlane, Deborah (Michael) Noll; nephew, Howard Libby; several great nieces, great nephews and several cousins. Special thanks to Dr. Maloney and the staff of Charlotte County Hospital. The funeral will be held 1pm on Monday from St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Cheryl MacFadyen officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
