Obituary of Myrtis Idella Beatty

The death of Myrtis Idella Beatty of Saint John, New Brunswick, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen on July 6, 2005. Born in Havelock, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Herman & Maude Redstone of Hampton. Predeceased by her husband, Edward (Ted) Beatty; brothers, Gordon and Richard Redstone, and sister, Marjorie Redstone. She is survived by daughters, Melodie (Rev. Bruce J. Bartel) of Victoria, BC and Carol Joy (Rev. Ted Scott) of Grand Manan, NB; sister, Cora Redstone of Saint John; brother, George (Doris) Redstone of Whitby, Ont.; sister-in-law, Stella Redstone of Saint John; grandchildren, Shane (Michelle) White, Shawn, Shanna, and Shari White; great-grandchildren, Shanelle and Jasmine White; step-grandchildren, Kirk and Jena Scott; several nieces and nephews. Resting at MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, with visiting on Friday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held 11 am on Saturday from MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Poirier of Honeydale, officiating. Mrs. Beatty will be transferred to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, for visiting on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm and on Sunday from 2 to 3 pm where a memorial service will be held 3:30 pm on Sunday at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald McCarty of Zealand officiating. Interment will take place in the Hampton Rural Cemetery. Condolences for the family and fond memories of Myrtis may be made at and for those who wish, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, CNIB, Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of choice.
