Obituary of Sylvain Edmond Bernier

Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, New Brunswick, on February 24, 2005, after a brief illness, in his 92nd year, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Marie (nee O'Brien), of the late Catherine (nee Anderson) and the late Kathleen (nee Larocque). Loving father of Lynne (Peter Valiquet), London, Ontario and Paul (Maureen Keough), Ottawa, Ontario. Dear grandfather of Stacey, Greg, Philippe and Sarah. Born in Quebec City in 1913, he retired to St. Stephen in 1974, after a 35 year public service career, mostly in Montreal and Ottawa. Resting at MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, with visiting on Friday from 7 to 9. The funeral will be held 11 am on Saturday from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Riley officiating. Interment will take place in the Milltown Catholic Cemetery.
