Obituary of Jon E. Calder

JON EVERETT CALDER
May 26, 1951-March 31, 2021

Age 69, Jon passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer at Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB.

He was born in Lubec, Maine and raised on Campobello Island, NB.  Proud father to Shannon (Calder) Hooper, husband Jon and loving grandpa to Liam Hooper (Berwick, ME).

He is the son of the late Everett Calder and Edna Fletcher.  Brother to Eddie Fletcher, Brian Calder (Jean) and the late James Calder.  Beloved uncle to nieces Kristi Nolte, Sara Calder and Jennifer Peterson.  Great uncle to Noah, Parker, Haleigh, Miranda, Chelsea, Kassidy and Harper.

Jon worked for Chrysler Canada, Windsor, Ontario assembly plant for 32 years.  Upon retirement, he moved back to his peaceful home on Campobello Island, NB.  He enjoyed spending his holidays in Berwick with his family.  He will be sadly missed by his best friends Gary Cook and Garry Chute of Campobello Island and David Cosman of Amherstburg, Ontario.

The family would like to thank the nurses, Dr. Kay and all staff on Floor 1 of Charlotte County Hospital, in addition to the Campobello Health Centre staff for their compassion and excellent care.
