





Obituary of Jean Dines
DINES A. JEAN - (DINES, AMES, McLAUGHLIN) - Peacefully, at the Charlotte County Hospital, on Friday, February 12th, 2021; went “HOME” to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ; with her son Wayne McLaughlin of Oak Haven, NB and daughter Gloria Barter of St. Stephen, NB, by her side.

Jean is survived by her son Wayne McLaughlin and daughter Gloria (Bob) Barter, grandsons Joe (Pauline), Jeffrey Barter, all of St. Stephen, great grandson Nicholas (Morrison- Barter), great great grandson Zakkary Barter, special cousin Josie Gillespie of Harvey, NB & Carl Gavel of Nackawic, NB, special friends Daniel Hood, Ruth & Vera Kitson and her adorable fur baby Benny. Survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones who will dearly miss her.
She was predeceased by her parents Herman & Edith (Scott)
Over the years Jean worked at Ganongs, in various retail stores, did office work, as well as waitressed at several restaurants.
She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her family was always top priority. She was always there with loving hands to those in need.
Jean was a long time dedicated member of the L.O.B.A # 1253 for over 60 years, the Rebekah Lodge and Pythian Sisters serving & dedicating her life to serving them both and others for many years, with great passion and desire.
When Jean could find time she took great joy in quilting, crocheting, knitting, sewing & crafts and found time to make beautiful wedding cakes, flower arrangements for weddings and funerals.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home during a time of visitation on Wednesday, February 17th & Thursday February 18th from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Due to the current circumstances, surrounding the pandemic and COVID 19, all visitors to the funeral home, during these times, will be prescreened and information taken for contact tracing. Those who have travelled from outside the province or country, in the last 14 days, or from any red alert level zone in the Province, will not be permitted to attend. Those feeling anxious or unwell due to this pandemic are encouraged not to attend.
A service, in celebration of Jean’s life will be held in the spring, with date, time & place to be announced. The interment will take place at that time at
