Obituary of Linda M. Boyd
BOYD , LINDA M. – At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, January 25th 2021, Linda Marie Boyd passed away after a 5 year battle with cancer. Born in St Stephen, NB, she is the daughter of Joan (Robinson) Boyd and the late Robert Boyd.
Linda graduated from St. Stephen High School and then pursued a career as a computer programmer in Saint John. Upon the death of her father she moved back to St. Stephen to be closer to family. Linda was thoroughly obsessed with Coronation Street and never missed an episode.
Linda is survived by her mother Joan, two daughters, Jaime at home and Kayla (Joe) of Moncton, 2 sisters, Sandra of Moncton and Brenda of Paris, Ont. as well as her children Dawn, Shawn and Jonas and her aunt Irene Russell of St. Andrews.
Linda was predeceased by her infant daughter Lea Marie and her father Robert Boyd.
The family would like to take this opportunity to extend a very special thank you to all of the nurses, Dr’s and staff of the SJRH Palliative Care Unit, as well as to the Extra Mural and home support staff that have helped Linda in so many ways, especially her good friend and caregiver Shanday Kegan and her neighbour Helga. Your care and kind attention to Linda and her family is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
By Linda’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held in late spring at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
For those who wish, donations in memory of Linda can be made to Charlotte County Cancer or a charity of one’s choice.
