Obituary of Carol Joyce Boone

BOONE CAROL JOYCE Carol J. Boone passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16th, 2016 at Passamaquoddy Lodge in St. Andrews, NB. Born Sept, 2nd, 1945 in Montreal and was the daughter of Abe & Daisy Weinstein (nee Smallcombe). She was predeceased by her brother William (Bill) Devaney of Brockville, ON. Carol is survived by her husband John, her parents Daisy & Abe Weinstein, her son Kenneth (Dima and grandson Zayne) in Montreal, her daughter Allison (Darryl) and granddaughter Ella of Temiscaming, Quebec. Carol greatly enjoyed her 40 years of teaching and Principal of Val DÒr High School. She did such a great job that Ministry of Education transferred her to Jean Paget Hospital for sick children in Gatineau, Quebec. She loved to travel and sing with the `Sweet Adelines `(Canadian Showtime Chorus) singers of Ottawa and Montreal. Her greatest love was for her two successful children Ken & Alli and two grandchildren Ella & Zayne. Unfortunately she was a resident at Passamaquoddy Lodge with Alzheimers disease for 9 years before Ella & Zayne were born. Daisy (95) and Abe (94) have made numerous trips from Montreal to St. Andrews to visit Carol. Carol has many cousins and relatives in the Montreal and southern Ontario region. A memorial service will be held in Montreal on October 1st, 2016 at at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4275 Boul.des Sources, Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
