Obituary of Deborah Glabais - Berg

GLABAIS – BERG DEBORAH - Peacefully at her residence in McAdam, NB; Deborah Glabais – Berg, wife of the late Ricky Ray Berg. Born in Toronto , ON , she is the daughter of the late Douglas & Bonita (Rose) Glabais. To say Deborah had a great love for animals would be a gross understatement. She rescued every dog and cat that she encountered and she will be horribly missed by her fur babies. She enjoyed gardening and, she had not only a special love of music, but a wonderful ability to sing with such a strong beautiful voice. Deborah was fortunate enough to have found the love of her life in her late husband Rick. She missed him until the day she passed, and there is some comfort in knowing that they are together again watching over us all. Anyone who knew Deborah will miss her colourful vocabulary and her no holds barred attitude, she was refreshingly authentic! Deborah is survived by her two daughters Anne (Malcolm) McBride of St. Stephen, NB, Dawn Malloch of Keswick, ON, grandchildren Nadine McBride-Sitter (Justice), Nathan McBride, Malloch Bathish, Ross McBride and Katherine McBride. One very beloved sister, Patricia Glabais of Sunderland, ON, many loving nieces and nephews from Campobello Island, some very special cousins, and she was truly blessed to have so many amazing friends in Michigan, they genuinely loved and respected her and Rick. The family thanks each and every one of them for making Deborah's life truly blessed. Deborah had a very special place in her heart for her niece Sarah White and was adamant that Nadine Dinnage be reminded that " Mom" loved her as if she were her own, and that in every way that counts, Nadine is her daughter. By Deborah’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place, and next summer we are to have the biggest celebration of life we can muster. She even pre-selected some music, and insisted it be a party for the books. In lieu of flowers donations to a CARMA or a local chapter of the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
