Obituary of Joan Fulton

Joan Elizabeth Fulton – 92, Central Onslow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, in St Stephen, New Brunswick. She was born in Little Bass River to the late Marion and Walter MacDonald.

After graduation from high school she moved to Halifax to work. She married Ray Fulton on October 27, 1951, and together they lived in Windsor, Hillsborough, Windsor again, and finally Onslow. Family was always important to her.

Joan leaves behind her daughter, Susan Fulton-Kaiser (Denny); son, Richard Fulton (Rosanne); grandsons, Travis and Steven; step great granddaughters, Alexandra and Arianna; many more of her extended family. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ray (2018); infant son; brothers, Gerald (Nettie), Kenneth (Ann), Geordie, twin brother, John (Barb).

She was a "stay-at-home" mother and later assisted Ray with office work and occasional surveyor helper. She loved to sew, quilt, knit, play bridge and also loved to travel and visit the family camp at Economy Lake. She was a member of Trinity United Church in Upper Onslow and the UCW.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where a private funeral service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020, Reverend Glenn MacLean officiating. (Funeral service will be by invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions; thank you for understanding.)
