Obituary of June L. Matthews
Matthews, June L. - at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014; June Lavonne (Savage) Matthews, wife of Emery R. of Wilson's Beach, NB. Born in Wilson’s Beach, she is the daughter of the late J. Lorin & Vivian B. (Cline) Savage. Surviving in addition to her husband Emery are her 3 daughters; Marianne Alexander (Glenn) of Wilson’s Beach, Joan Jacobs (Dr. Steven) of Alamo, CA, Carolyn Gauthier (Rick) of Saint John, brother Graham Savage of Wilson's Beach, brother-in-law Ralph Mawhinney of Maces Bay, eight grandchildren; Stacie (Chris), Matthew (Krista), Jessica (Brad), Paula (Jon), Laura, Beth, Benjamin and Noah. Eleven great-grandchildren; Alexander, Tyler, William, Zachary, Landen, Aaron, Austin, Autumn, Reese, Alec and Havyn. Several nieces and nephews. June was predeceased by her sister Irene Mawhinney, sister- in-law Doreen Savage and 2 nephews, Stephen and Ronald Savage. Resting at Wilson’s Beach Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Friday, August 22nd, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Visitation on Thursday, from 7-9 PM only. In lieu of flowers donations to the Wilson’s Beach Community Cemetery or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
