WILBUR RICHARD H. - 1926 … 2016 Died peacefully at his residence on Thursday, March 31st, 2016; Richard “Dick” Humphrey Wilbur, husband of Marlene (Thompson) Wilbur of St. Andrews, NB. Born in Moncton, NB he was the son of the late Noble Roy & Kathleen (Humphrey) Wilbur. A man of many talents and careers … CBC News Editor, oil scout, history teacher and professor, author, broadcaster and social critic. Surviving in addition to his wife and partner Marlene are his daughters Leslie (Bernard Albert) of Ottawa, ON, Gwyneth (David Thompson) of Elmsville, NB, Sarah (Ian Woodman) of Edmonton, AB, son Patrick (Andrea McIntyre) of Quispamsis, NB, 6 grandchildren Kate, Dylan, Emily, Zoelie, Grant and Ross, one sister Betty Jamieson of Falmouth, NS, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dick was predeceased by his brothers William and Peter. According to Richard’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of his life will take place with family and friends in the summer. For those who wish a donation in rememberance of Dick to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
