Obituary of Mary I. Dougherty
DOUGHERTY MARY I. - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Sunday, February 24th, 2019; Mary Isabel (Eagan) Dougherty, of Milltown, NB; wife of the late Raymond Vincent Dougherty. Born in Calais, ME, U.S.A. she is the daughter of the late Albert & Irene (Rafferty) Eagan. Mary worked for 25 years with Ganong’s Chocolates in the candy division known as Ernie’s Room retiring in 1993. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen’s Church in Milltown and a dedicated member of the C.W.L. recently receiving her 65 year pin for years of service. Mary loved to bowl with the Golden 69er’s and was a longtime member of the Salmon Falls Seniors Group. Mary is survived by her son Raymond Joseph (Sally) of Mayfield, NB, 2 daughters Marie McKeown of Baileyville, ME, U.S.A. Suzanne Daigle (Jeff) of Barter Settlement, NB, 5 grandchildren Niesje McKeown, Michael McKeown (Jenn), Amanda Sewell (Shawn) Tonya Perrin (Mike) Randy Daigle (Rebecca), great grandchildren Matthew & Hannah, Ellie & Myla, Shaylee, Mikaila and Jacob, brother in law James Dougherty of Drumheller, AB, her many fur babies, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Raymond Vincent, son in law David McKeown, 2 brothers James & Donald Eagan, and her favorite sheltie fur baby of all Teddy. By Mary’s request cremation will take place. A memorial mass of christian burial will take place on Friday, May 31st, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Stephen Church, Milltown, NB. followed by the interment at Milltown Catholic Cemetery to be laid to rest with her husband Raymond. A reception will follow the burial to be held at St. Patrick's Hall. In lieu of flowers donations at this time can be made to St. Stephen Church, Milltown, Kidney Foundation, Charlotte Co. SPCA or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
