Obituary of Phyllis J. Green
GREEN PHYLLIS - On February 23 at the Passamaquoddy Lodge in St. Andrews, NB; Phyllis Juanita (Lockhart) Green wife of the late Owen A Green. Born in Avondale. NB on April 20, 1926 she is the daughter of the late Alice (Curtis) and Llewelyn Lockhart. Phyllis and Owen met and married in Carleton County and moved to St Andrews in 1947 where together they made their life and raised their family. She was a member of the Wesley United Church. Phyllis took on a number of roles outside the home including working with St Andrews Woollens where her skills as a seamstress and quilter served her well. Phyllis is survived by two sons Frederick and his wife Linda of St. Andrews, NB, Peter and his wife Lacey of Ottawa, ON, grandchildren Owen (Haley), Brian (Michelle), Robin (Daniel), Michael (Rebekah), Kimberly (Lasse), great grandchildren Adam, Sophie, Emma, Kai, Noah, daughter in law Ann (Gary) of Nackawic, NB, and several nieces and nephews . Phyllis was predeceased by husband Owen and son Raymond. Also predeceased by brothers Russell, Joe, Aubrey, Zibe, Clifford, John and Donald, sisters Merrietta, Elsie, Marion, Peggy and Annie, a number of nieces and nephews. The family is forever grateful to the staff of the Passamaquoddy Lodge for the loving care provided to Phyllis in the later stages of her life. By Phyllis’ request cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at graveside at St. Andrews Rural Cemetery on Friday June 14th, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Jane Doull officiating. A reception will follow at Niger Reef in St. Andrews. A time of reception together with a Celebration of Life will also take place in Carleton County, NB on Saturday, June 15th. Time and date to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
