Obituary of Elizabeth Fitzsimmons
FITZSIMMONS ELIZABETH - At the Campobello Lodge on Friday, October 26th, 2018; Elizabeth (Crosby) Fitzsimmons, wife of the late John “Jack” Fitzsimmons. Born in Bear River, NS; she is the daughter of the late Frank & Harriet (Thario) Crosby. Elizabeth worked for many years with the fish factory on Campobello. She was a member of North Road Baptist Church. Elizabeth had a great love and passion for camping the old way at Red Rock for almost 20 years. She is survived by her son Carleton (Elaine) of Lubec, ME, USA, her son in law Clifford Swelin of Ottawa,ON, daughter in law Evelyn Fitzsimmons, 10 grandchildren, Mary, Carleton,Fay, Michael, Dianna, Brenda, Billy, Sherry, Eugene and Terri, several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, 2 daughters Mary Swelin and Eva, her son Sonny, grandson Eugene and her sister Anna Miner. Friends are welcomed to attend a graveside service at Wilson’s Beach Cemetery Head Harbour Road on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cemetery Fund, would be appreciated by the family.
