Obituary of Albert Smith
SMITH ALBERT - Unexpectedly at his residence in Frenchvale, (Cape Breton) NS on Monday, October 8th, 2018; Albert George Donald Smith, husband of Arianna Smith. Born in St. Stephen, NB; he is the son of Albert George Burton & Laura Jane (Handy) Smith of St. Stephen, NB. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Arianna, his daughter Abigail Elizabeth, at home, his sister Jess Binney (Logan) of St. David Ridge, NB, his mother & father Albert & Laura Smith, his paternal grandmother Marcia Smith, all of St. Stephen, NB, aunts Margaret McLaughlin (Gary) of Grand Falls, NB, Alice Rideout of Kingston, ON, Marie McLean (Gary McNabb), Margaret Ann Raven (Alan) of Tennessee, Lisa McClanaghan (Bill) of St. Stephen, Nancy Smith Brown (Robert) of Florenceville, NB, uncles Jeff Smith (Lisa) and Richard Smith (Lori) all of Fredericton, NB, several cousins. Albert was predeceased by his maternal grandmother and grandfather Elizabeth & Donald Handy, and his paternal grandfather Albert George Smith. Albert worked for Swiss Chalet in Sydney,NS, over the last several years, working very hard at a job he dearly loved; to raise his family. His family & friends remember him as a true fan of the Montreal Canadians and the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Raptors. He loved to cook and listen to the music of Eminem; but his greatest passion was his wife & daughter. A memorial service in celebration of Albert’s life will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 … 466 … 3110) All those in attendance are encouraged to wear the colours and logos of his favorite teams.
