Obituary
Obituary of Jean Maxine Pierce
It is with sadness that her family says goodbye to “Max”. Max’s life was her family and words can’t express how grateful we are for the gift of calling her Mom, Jean or Max. She had a truly remarkable ability to deeply connect with and touch so many. Absolutely selfless - always giving - hiding her personal challenges while eager to laugh, listen and make everyone around her feel better about themselves. In typical Max fashion, she wouldn’t want any attention; but along with her husband of more than 50 years (Arden or “Grampie” deceased 2004), would take the greatest pride and joy in letting you know about her family - daughter Debbe (Jim Francis), sons Garth (Pat), Mike (Debbie), Steve (Barb), Gary (Peggy), Keith (Brenda) and Ross (Nancy); 17 grandchildren (Brent, Cara, Leah, Caleb, Jan, Laura, Jeff, Devan, Matthew, Sarah, Chris, Greg, Kelsey, Megan, Brandon, Maddie, Cameron); 14 great grandchildren (Dylan, Claire, Harper, Landon, Sydney, John, Alice, Margot, Malcolm, Molly, Abby, Ollie, Lilly, Bea), each and every one of whom had a very special relationship with Max. We would like to thank the nurses, support staff and administrators at Passamaquoddy Lodge for the wonderful care and support they provided for Max over the last four years. Our family will always be grateful for your kindness and love. A celebration of Max's life will occur at a later date. For those wishing to give, donations can be made to Passamaquoddy Lodge or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada through Humphreys Funeral Home www.humphreysfh.com.
