Obituary of Betty E. Ingalls
INGALLS BETTY E. – Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Grand Manan Hospital; Betty Ellen (Green) Ingalls, wife of the late Ray Melbourne Ingalls. Born in Calais, ME, U.S.A., she is the daughter of the late Douglas & Ruth (Lounder) Green.
For many years Betty worked in various fish plants and the UMF store on Grand Manan. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church serving with the ACW and as a Sunday school teacher.
Betty is survived by her two daughters Yvonne Park (David) of Ingalls Head, Grand Manan, NB and Berneta Allaby (Eric) of Rothesay, NB, and son, Claude (Sharon) Ingalls of North Head, Grand Manan, NB. Brothers Winston Green (Melva), Gary Green (Maxine) and Burtis (Mary) all of Grand Manan, NB, one sister Mildred Locke of Grand Manan, NB, several nieces and nephews. Eight grandchildren Richelle Corey (Andrew), Michael Park (Tammy), Heather Allaby, Peter Allaby (Natalie), Marlene Zwicker (Stephen), Darlene Clinch (Ian), Shawnna Webber (Conn) and Jeremy Ingalls (Amanda), 16 great grandchildren 4 great great grandchildren.
Betty was predeceased by great granddaughter Danielle Park,brothers James, Douglas “Buddy”, Carman, 1 sister Kathleen and a half brother David Voutt.
Resting at St. Paul’s Anglican Church from where the service will be held on Saturday, January 25th at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Smith officiating. The interment will take place in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church hall on Friday January 24th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Danielle Park Memorial Scholarship Fund or St. Paul's Church or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Grand Manan Hospital and the staff of the Grand Manan Nursing Home for their wonderful care. A special thank you to Sally Ingersoll with Extra Mural and Nicole Adams with Social Development for all of their help with arrangements for the family to look after Mum at home.
