Obituary of Sheila M. Haley

HALEY SHEILA M. - At the Charlotte County Hospital, with her family by her side; on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018; Sheila May ( Appleby) Haley, wife of the late Bob Haley of Barter Settlement, NB. Born in Milltown, NB; she is the daughter of the late Reginald & Eva May(Saulnier) Appleby. For almost 30 years Sheila dedicated her life to serving families in Charlotte County through her work as a Family Care Assistant with Humphreys Funeral Home as well as the former MacDonald Funeral Home & Florist as a floral designer. Through Sheila’s many years of battling cancer she dedicated her life to improving the lives of others through her countless hours of volunteering with the Relay for Life. Sheila enjoyed working in her garden, enjoying the love of music at any venue for any cause. She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs fan. Her greatest passion was enjoying her grandchildren and all that they were involved with. Sheila is survived by her daughter Sandra Anthony and her partner Russ of Woodland Maine, U.S.A, Daniel Bartlett of St. Stephen, NB, Robert Bartlett of Timmons, ON, 6 grandchildren Chris, Savannah, Billy Jo, Amanda, Cali and Brad, 3 great grandchildren Dawson, Cody and Hannah, her brother Gary Appleby and his wife Carolyn of St. Stephen, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sheila was predeceased by her brother Wayne Appleby. A memorial service in celebration of Sheila’s life will be held on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110). The family will receive friends during a time of visitation at the funeral home from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm on Saturday. The interment will take place later at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
