Obituary of Ricky Nice

Nice, Richard Jr. 
It is with heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved son Richard Nice Jr. on December 30, 2024. He was my first son, and my Christmas baby. He was born on December 20, 1978, and had just turned 46 years old. 
       Ricky worked for Charlotte County Can & Bottle for many years. Jim Peters & Ricky would call each other father & son. Jim was always there for Ricky and Ricky was always there for Jim. 
       Ricky enjoyed hunting, fishing and his coffee from Tim Hortons, he had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a hand, tell a joke, or share a story. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and unforgettable memories we will treasure forever. His spirit will live on in our hearts. 
      He is survived by his mother Charlene Somers (Mike), of St. Stephen, his father Richard Nice Sr. (Diane) of Saint John, his sister Ruthann Vienneau (Joel) of St. George, his brother Ron Macdonald (Vanessa) of Moncton, his brother Ryan Nice (Gina) of Saint John, his brother Scott Somers (Hayley) of St. Stephen, 3 step sisters Bonnie, Amanda and Danielle, special niece, Bianca Richardson (Alex), special nephew Zackery Kenney, 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew and aunts & uncles. 
    Ricky was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Patricia Turner and Charles Somers, paternal grandparents Helen and William Nice, uncles Johnny Masson, Joel & Eric Nice and his aunt Marsha Frederick, as well as his niece Dominique Sparks.
     The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a time of visitation on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm  & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held the following day on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110). Interment to follow at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
