Obituary of Danna Eugene Neilson
Neilson, Danna Eugene
It is with great sadness that Lorraine Neilson (St. Stephen) & family announce the passing of her beloved husband and father Danna Neilson passed away unexpectedly at his residence in St. David Ridge NB.
Danna was born and grew up in St. Stephen, he was one of six kids to the late Hatti and Eugene Neilson.
Danna was an all-around great person who loved his beloved wife of 51 years Lorraine Joy Neilson, his 3 boys; Jason, Michael, and Nick and his grandchildren unconditionally, they meant the world to him.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors with the grandchildren, watching the birds from his home or chair in the garage, a spot where he spent most of his time. Danna was very dedicated and humble, always offering to help when it was needed. A very devoted hardworking man, Danna worked extremely hard to support his family. He loved to pull jokes, stunts and always had a gag gift for the family and his coworkers. His coworkers looked forward to and enjoyed his daily jokes as much as he loved to tell them.
Danna is survived by his wife Lorraine Neilson (St. Stephen), his children; Jason Neilson, Michael Neilson (Melanie), Nick Neilson (Tanya) all of St. Stephen, his 5 grandchildren; Keegan Neilson, Riley Neilson, Sidney Neilson, Daynna Neilson, Raina Neilson, his 5 brothers and sisters; Lorna MacFarlane (Jim) of St. Andrews, Barb Fiander (Carl) of St. Andrews, Darlne Neilson of Alberta, Dean Neilson (Brenda) of Waweig, sister-in-law Barb Furrow, Uncle Ted & Family (Saint John) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be missed by many including his fur baby Molly, a dog he loved greatly.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Conrad Neilson.
Danna cherished all the time he spent with his family he loved teaching his children the way of life and passing down valuable life skills.
Special thanks to Extra Mural of St. Stephen, Brittany (Fredericton) and the St. Stephen Fire Department for their continued CPR efforts tried on Danna. Thank you to everyone that helped.
