To Irene, Stuart, Jeramie, Family Members & Friends,
The members of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers Association were saddened by the news of Donald's passing. During his impressive 27 years as a member of the Canadian Forces, as a Signals Intelligence Specialist, in the Communicator Research occupation (in the ranks as a MOC 291 operator / analyst, and as an officer in the Canadian Forces Communications Electronics and Engineering- CFCEE), he made many friends. We will forever remember and cherish all of the enjoyable times that were shared in Ottawa, 1 CSR Kingston, Masset, Inuvik, Bermuda and the most northern permanently inhabited settlement in the world, Alert. After Don's retirement from the military, his commendable volunteer work to help those who were less fortunate left its mark. He left behind a legacy of love, compassion and caring for the needs of others. Please know that as members of your extended military family, we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God Bless.

Carol and Bill, thank you for your thoughts and prayers for Don and especially the hug! He certainly enjoyed meeting people and sharing a warm smile and kind words, both with people he knew and as often as not with people he didn't know at all. There were no strangers in Don's world, just people whose names he didn't know yet!
