Obituary of Gertrude Anne Brinton
Brinton, Gertrude Anne
Passed peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital on Monday October 14th, 2024. Born on Grand Manan Island, she was the daughter of the late Merrill & Marion (nee Hatt) Lank.
She is survived by her children Merrill Brinton (Diane Morais), Heidi Brinton-Pretty (Forrest), grandchildren, Dustin Cohoon, Amberlin Cohoon and great-grandson Edwin Cohoon.
Gertrude spent many years working for Defence Construction Ltd., retiring in 1988. After retirement she moved to Campobello Island where she was a member of the local Legion and worked for Home Care Support. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, including making Christmas Wreaths every holiday season.
The family would like to thank the staff of Home Support and the Charlotte County Hospital for their care and compassion shown towards Gertrude.
Cremation has taken place, a graveside memorial will be held at the St. Anne’s Anglican Cemetery (N. Road Welshpool) on Saturday October 26, 2024 at 2pm.
For those who wish donations in memory of St. Anne’s Anglican Church or Red Head Strays in Saint John.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Humphrey’s Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506-466-3110).
