Obituary of Curtis Eugene Wilcox

Passed peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Grand Manan Hospital on Tuesday August 13, 2024. Born in Harvey N-B, he is the son of Thelma Wilcox and the late Willis Wilcox. He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years Beth in 2014.

He is survived by his children; April Wilcox, Lorena Wilcox and Amanda Sherwood, Grandchildren; Blair, Jasmine, Julia, Tyler, Nathaniel, Duncan, Aubree, Amelia, Quincy, Great-grandkids; Evie-Mae, Remi-Ann, River, siblings; Celia Fleet (Stanley), Joyce Moore (Phillip) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by his parents-in-law Lona & Malcolm Urquhart.

Curtis was loved by everyone; those who met him would have a story to tell. His unique personality, colorful language and boisterous character will be deeply missed.

Curtis was a skilled tradesman, he specialized in building wire lobster traps, a skill that many on Grand Manan benefited from. He practiced his trade until the very end.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the entire staff at the Grand Manan Hospital, your care and compassion did not go unnoticed.

A Private family burial will take place at the North Head Cemetery.
