Obituary of Thomas "Teddy" Wilson

Wilson, Thomas “Teddy”

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Grand Manan Hospital on Tuesday July 16, 2024. Born on April 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Victor and Catherine Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years Carolyn Wilson, Children Kevin (Paula), Sharon (Justin), Tricia (John), Debbie (Steve), grandchildren; Jennifer, Ryan, Kathryn, Patrick, Michael, Jeramy, Matthew, Mallory, Jason, Eric, Alyson, Jillian, 12 great-grandchildren and his brother Gene (Norma).

Predeceased by his daughter Gail and granddaughter Melissa.

Teddy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the curling club and was a Mason. He was a fisherman by trade but really enjoyed playing Crib. A devoted family man, he cherished his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to attend their sporting events. Teddy truly enjoyed his rides with his brother Gene around the island, a much-needed break from his time in hospital.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Grand Manan Hospital, Extra Mural and the many visitors who came to see him, your dedication and devotion will never be forgotten.

Cremation has taken place, friend and family are invited to attend a service of thanksgiving and remembrance at the Church of the Ascension, North Head on Sunday July 28, 2024, at 1:30PM. Internment of ashes at Maple Grove Cemetery will take place later at a later date.

For those who wish donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, or the Grand Manan Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
