It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved "Meme" at the Charlotte County hospital, St Stephen, on 15th July 2024. Sibylle was 99 years young. 

Sibylle was born and raised in Zweibrucken Germany and studied physiotherapy in Strasbourg. In the early 1950's she married a Frenchman, Francis, with whom she had two children, Aline and Maurice.  In 1961 the family emigrated to Canada and lived in Quebec City where Sibylle worked as a physiotherapist at the Hotel Dieu (Québec hospital). There she would often treat seriously burned and sick patients with skill and compassion.

On retirement Sibylle headed back to Germany to reconnect with old friends and travel around Europe. In her 80's she returned to Canada and lived with her daughter, Aline, and son in law, Christopher, in St Andrews NB. Once there she could be seen daily walking around the point in all weather's well into her 90's.

Sibylle was active to the end, walking daily, weeding our gardens and vineyard in Bayside and helping with the harvesting of berries and fruits.

She leaves her daughter Aline (Christopher), son Maurice, grandchildren Marie Lorraine, Guillaume (Chantal), Justine (Francis), and great grandchildren Liam and Charles.

Our special thanks to the staff of the Charlotte County Hospital for their compassionate care of Sibylle in her final hours.
