Obituary of Kerri Ann Chrus

Chrus, Kerri Ann

It is with the deepest sadness that we share the unexpected loss of Kerri Ann Chrus (née Costello) of Saint Andrews, New Brunswick.

Kerri Ann was born in Montreal, Quebec on June 24th 1955 to Edith Agnes and John Martin Costello.

Kerri raised three adoring children, Clorice (Andy), Samantha (Kerry) and Brendon (Ana Maria) and she so cherished being a grandmother imparting her love and enthusiasm for nature, reading, art, and family to grandchildren Tarquin, Quoia, Dorian, Ryker, Amalia, Luciana & Oscar.

Kerri cherished being curator at the Ross Memorial Museum for over 15 years, sharing the Ross’s love story, and a passion for St.Andrews with all who came for a visit.

Kerri bravely faced challenges, most recently demonstrating her strength and determination after a major bout of illness. She lived this last year as a victory lap in all her glory, and how glorious she was. A more vibrant and colourful person is rarely found. Ask anyone!

Kerri loved St Andrews and St.Andrews loved Kerri. She was part of the social fabric of the community and was deeply involved in various circles including crafts, rug hooking, and her book club to name a few.

There are so many beautiful things to say about her and the way she lived her life. Above all, she never took the joys in life for granted; flowers and sunsets, motherhood, good food and chocolate, adventures, shopping and fashion, friendships and parties, libraries, birdwatching, British TV, dancing, belly laughs and reading a great book. She embraced it all.

Kerri is survived by her siblings Colleen, Sean, Chris, Pam (Andre), Penny (Rob) and Peter (Samantha) and an incredible extended family.

Kerri gave her children an amazing childhood and true friendship as adults and are so proud to be her children. I hope you can all take this moment to reflect on this lovely woman, the beauty she brought to our lives by making the world a kinder, more inclusive place.

A celebration of Kerri Ann’s wonderful life will take place on July 20th in Saint Andrews at 227 Champlain Ave. starting at 2pm with a memorial service beginning at 3 pm.

Thank you to our friends and family for their outstanding kindness at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider (We’ve Got Your Back) WGYB.ca and promise to read a book to a child on her behalf.
