Obituary of Gerald Thornton Bainbridge
Bainbridge, Gerald
Passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital on Thursday, June 13th, 2024; Gerald “Jerry” Bainbridge was born in Vancouver, BC, June 24, 1947. He is the son of the late Thornton and Agnes (Ward) Bainbridge. He is survived by his children, daughter Tabitha Bainbridge (Joel Aguinaga) of Upper Tantallon, granddaughter Tegan of Dieppe and grandson Mitchell of Halifax, NS, one son John Bainbridge (Sara Volf) of Kitchener, ON, daughter Michelle Bainbridge (Derek Bowen) and step grandson Hayden, all of Nerepis, NB; sisters Pat Ingalls, Irene (Lionel) Scott, of Grand Manan, Agnes Melanson of Dieppe; brothers, John (Sharon) Bainbridge of Woodstock, and Herbert (Cindy) Bainbridge of Grand Manan. Sisters-in-law Teri-Lynn Bainbridge of Grand Manan and Priscilla Bainbridge of Moncton and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry is predeceased by his wife Frances (Russell) Bainbridge, brothers Gordon Bainbridge and Russell Bainbridge. In 2017, his family grew to include the staff and residents of Lincourt Manor. Jerry enjoyed building models, the Toronto Blue Jays, WWE, country music, reading Westerns, playing cards, being outside, Coca Cola and Tim’s coffee.
By Jerry’s request, cremation will take place and a celebration will be held on Monday August 5th, 2024 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Manan, NB.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lincourt Manor for the love and care they provided, as well as the nurses and doctors that kept him comfortable until the end.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
