Obituary of Glenna Helene Cline

Cline, Glenna (Matthews)

Passed unexpectedly in her home on Thursday April 18, 2024. Born on Campobello, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Claudia (Porter) Matthews.

Glenna married her late husband Paul Cline in October 1960; they shared 49 years of marriage together before his passing in November of 2009.   Alongside her husband Glenna was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Welshpool where she held the rolls of Vestry Clerk, Tour Guide and Junior Warden. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Glenna spent 26 years as the Librarian at the Campobello Library, a job that allowed her to share her love for reading with so many. Outside of work Glenna loved gardening, she had a great sense of style, beauty and design. The smell of the salt water in the air at Friar’s Bay was one of her many loves in this world.

Glenna is survived by her daughter Cathy Gibbs, son Vernon M., 4 grandchildren, Nicole Hatch, Steven & Channing Cline, Taylor Gibbs and 1 great-grandchild Ryker Hatch.

Pre-deceased in addition to her parents and late husband are siblings, Floyd Matthews, Glenn Mathews, Baxter Mathews, and Patricia Fletcher
